Item of the Day: Jump from Paper Bags

So I was just bopping around the internet today and came across Kaylah's , The Dainty Squid, outfit post today where she was wearing this sensational bag. I immediately went over to the site  to check them out. I don't really think I need to say much since these pictures speak for themselves. I'm still not sure exactly hoe much they can hold, but I don't think I really care because they are so aesthetically cool. I'm a big fan of pixelated accessories as well like the items seen on thinkgeek.com so this was right up my alley. So I think I will shut up and let everyone drool over the awesomeness that is these bags (as Carly melts into a puddle).

Item of the Day: O'Clock Watches

Heads up everyone. I'm now in Florence. I know I still have some catching up to do, and I'll try to work on my Barcelona post tonight (no promises). I just thought I would through this little gem your way.

Photobucket

So I am one of those people that always has to have a watch on. When I don't, I feel a bit naked and nobody really wants that. I started my true obsession with Swatch watches. I loved them for being sturdy, dependable, and really cute. I've since moved on to some nicer brands, and while I love my Michelle watch immensely, I still like the idea of a cheap and cheerful watch. I actually have a man's watch I found at a church sale that I snagged for $1 although it's not so cheerful. Fast forward to a tour Amanda and I took to Versailles in France (I'll get to it eventually). One of the other tour-ees had on this very eye-catching yellow, rubber watch. I asked her about it and she told me it was an Italian company and that you had to buy a band that fit like a bracelet since they weren't adjustable. The brightness and simplicity of it really struck me, so I vowed to keep my eyes open in Italy to see if I could find anything like it. Well all through Rome, no such luck. It wasn't until last night that I decided to start googling "Italian rubber watches" and I found them! The company's called  O'Clock and specializes in these watches. You can buy different bands and watch-faces to mix and match which I absolutely love. The colors, and those contrasting, would be a little bit of sunshine radiating on my wrist. Well whoda thunk it, but while Amanda and I were walking along the streets of Florence today, we passed a watch shop that sold O'Clock watches! They had these really amazing Disney faces on them, and it was super tempting. The watches themselves cost about $42 in the US, but at the store it was 25 euros. I was originally thinking about waiting to get one when I got home and had an income again, but that's quite a bit of savings. The US store also doesn't have the mickey watch-faces. We'll have to see how I budget the rest of this trip. I actually haven't bought too much for myself on this trip. The last thing was a pair of sneakers in Amsterdam, and while they're adorable, they seem more practical than frivolous. The watch would be the same thing. I'll have to keep you posted. While I don't like yellow, I'm really drawn towards the yellow wristband. Again, we'll have to wait and see what I do. I'm just so in love with them, and I feel like everyone out there will feel the same thing! So go check them out, and tell me what you think! This is my favorite combo so far.

Item of the Day: Pretzel Me This

So this past week is the first time this trip that I've felt "ready" to go home. I love absolutely everything about London, but I'm starting to really miss the things near and dear to my heart that I can only get in PA. I was bored the other day and just looking through Modcloth and saw this and immediately thought of home. Little known fact, Lititz (my hometown!) has been making Pretzels from scratch for the last few hundred years. Sturgis Pretzel House still churns out thousands and thousands of pretzels yearly. I don't mean to brag, but they have a pretzel making seminar where you can make your own pretzel and I am a pretty sick pretzel twister. I love soft pretzels, but most of my family is more drawn to the harder, larger variety. They're great with Herlocher's Mustard when tailgating a college football game. My mommy dearest used to take a glass of cold Diet Coke and dipping her pretzels into that so she got them sort of soggy with a salty-sweet taste. I kind of like it that way so you should probably try it. They're so Pennsylvanian and I kind of miss them. You really don't know what you might miss when you're away. This necklace is so cute and dear and now that it's on sale it's almost too tempting to pass up.

Item of the Day: Super Man

Today's item is pretty wonderful and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks so. My sister and I have this pretty huge love of knee high socks especially ones with wacky patterns. In high school gym class they were my way of silently rebelling the awful white and black uniforms we were forced to wear. Maybe if I had these I would be encouraged to run so that I could have my capes rush through the wind. Little known fact about me: I'm a pretty huge Superman fan. I just love how he's not a real person and he doesn't make sense but he still kicks some major tale. I was/am still obsessed with that 90s television show Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. It used to be on every morning on TBS and my family would all gather wrong to watch the super foxy Dean Cain don the spandex and take flight after a very young Teri Hatcher.I then discovered that it was on Netflix during my Sophomore year and had to watch it all over again. I can't recommend it enough! I don't really care if they're for men, I want these socks.

Don't Jump! Okay. Jump.

Item of the Day

Tea Sub

I thought that this might be just a way of sharing the various things on the internet that I've seen and subsequently want immediately. I'm trying to justify this as something different than an I'm Obsessed! post, and I think I've got it. When I'm obsessed with something, I constantly go back to it daily. This is more for something that I see and fancy. What better way to start than with this adorable tea infuser? I've been in tea heaven while living in London. Even the teabag tea tastes better than the stuff at home. Ideally this would be used in my beautiful future town house in the throws of Hackney. How could you have this and not smile? I love the Beatles, I love tea, and I love this. We all live in a...
